I’m not usually one to blatantly promote competitions on my blog but as someone who cannot budget for but desparately wants to go to Future Music Festival this year, I thought I’d share this opportunity I’ve been given a heads up to.
With acts like Pharrell Williams, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Phoenix and 2 Chainz playing the festival nationally, it’s no wonder this event has all but sold out but Rdio, in partnership with Future Music, is giving one lucky person and a mate flights to Melbourne, accommodation, transfers to and from the event and VIP access to ‘The Den’ so they can enjoy all the amazing artists Future Music 2014 has to offer in comfort and style.
Launched in August 2010, Rdio is headquartered in San Francisco and was founded by Janus Friis, the co-creator of Skype. Rdio is a digital music service that allows you to play what you want, when you want, or turn on a station for a perfect mix of songs. You can listen anywhere on the web, your phone or even offline — and, as we do with all social media these days, follow friends and artists to see what they’re playing.
To win this awesome comp all you have to do is go to http://onrdio.com/theden/ listen to the Future Music playlist, find out the last word in the last song on the playlist and then use that word to construct your answer to the question on the page. Pretty easy and you get to listen to some great music while you’re entering. There are also runner-up prizes of general admission tickets to each state’s festival to be won.
As I said, I’m sharing this because I am saving hard for a holiday, am still paying off my surgery from last year and simply (and unfortunately) cannot budget for a ticket. So, when thispopped up in my inbox I knew I had to share as I’m sure there are others dying to go who also cannot.
